I know.....Oy Vey what a headache. I've been reading Lifton's writings on the cult self and non cult self. I imagine when one sees their mentors being slaughtered the disconnect between the cult self and non cult self (if there is any left) can really create internal problems for the member unless they have the ability to compartmentalize the events. They say Pres. Clinton was really good at compartmentalizing negative circumstances in his life and continued to function very well. I thought about the story I shared of John Miller telling the members at Shiloh that the character Rizzo in the movie Grease was a channel and I think then even my cult self at the time thought that was a really stupid thing to say. But when I reflect back now I see that Miller was so sucked in to it all. (Note to my critics, this doesn't mean I didn't like Miller. He never harmed me.) Anyway, I thought about you FCSLC and it seems that even thought you experienced slaughter because you wouldn't submit to the new reign of the phoney incarnate Christ, your non cult self was still operating. Just thought I'd share that reading about the cult self and non cult self was helpful to me. Well, my neighbor who left his nuisance barking dog out all night just came home so I'm going over to read his electric meter. (Thanks for the tip Larry.)
