I hear you Larry. The LW in training (with a rod of iron) the members to reign and rule (with a rod of iron no less) for an Kingdom event such as the Millennium (which may not happen in their life time) has missed a great opportunity for the members to learn the ways of God through the application of God's grace and love. In playing God, the leaders presume to know how to create a bride with out spot or wrinkle and get the members to measure up, change, sanctify, regenerate, renew, or make new the members through obedience to the cultish treatment, discipline, demands and time frame. The results just haven't panned out over all these years since the early 1950's when JRS started the LW. And as Cloudwatcher previously commented, G has them circling the mountain again. Regarding the Sermon on the Mount (SOTM), I may not know what I am talking about but much has been written that the SOTM does not contain the Gospel message of salvation or grace or instructions on how to live up to it because it doesn't mention the indwelling of the Holy Spirit which leads some to think the SOTM points to the the law of the Millennium/ Christ's rule and the mind of Christ regarding a pure righteousness that can only flow from a regenerated heart. Just something to think about during those times one may doubt that they can ever measure up.
