What a summation.

Rick probably already got a huge amount of money and or property when his mother died. No doubt she had a will, and it don't automatically go to the husband, if there is a will. He is probably a multimillionaire right now. So any of you current members can rest assured that your tithe money is going to a good cause. There might be a whole fleet of Christmas trucks next year.

Actually, she wouldn't have needed a will, I don't think. She had a living trust, The Hargrave Family Trust. All bank accounts, property titles, stocks and bonds, everything would be put in the name of the trust.

Funds stipulated at death are not subject to inheritance tax. I'm not an accountant nor lawyer, but I think up to $600,000 can be sheltered. But this was planned for long ago....

Bummer!, they want us to pay them $39.00 to see how it ends (Who do they think they are, TLW? :-) ). OK, I'll keep my $39 since I am pretty sure I already know how it ends. I am sure that there are hundreds of stories like this, though.

I am about half way through the Nichols paper. I now know that I joined TLW on page 107.

Well, while I would be interested to know how that article ended, I probably already know how it went. let me guess, in case anybody pays to read the end of the article, I imagine the mother worked her buns off at Golden Threads for WAAAAYYY below minimum wage and got moved on by the pastor and a few elders, and ended up getting booted out of the church for being a nephilim.

Too funny, but I bet you're right (if not that something close).

The thing I liked most about this video was spotting the Wells Fargo sign toward the end. It just lifted me out of a funk.
Thanks for sharing KBOY!

p.s. If you come across any Cult Country Line Dancing vids, feel free to share.

I spent from 1976-1989 in the Redlands church...so, fortunately, I do not need to spend the $39 to discover how it turned out.

Hint: not well

I could just imagine the elders meeting, discussing the lady at Golden Threads,
Elder 1: "She is about worn out, she doesn't enter the intercession enouth"

Elder 2: "She has a religious spirit"

Pastor : "Let's just get to the point here, she won't put out, PUT HER OUT"

What happened to her and her sons?

We all eventually got out, which is good. Kelly is obviously an excellent writer--an observant soul.

The Sun link is a deadlink now. That's peculiar timing.

The entire Golden Threads saga is just one more chapter in an encyclopedia full of examples of doctrine trumping LOVE, something that has plagued all religious persuasions from time immemorial. That is why making the GOSPEL out to be anything more than LOVE usually ends with a trainwreck of casualities.

The K.I.S.S approach is always recommended--LOVE GOD, LOVE your Brother--end of story.
